Fraunhofer Light Installation

STUDIOBAUER was commissioned to design an artistic light installation for the redesign of the Foyers at the Fraunhofer Institute IAO in Stuttgart. The design and technical implementation were carried out by STUDIOBAUER in spring 2025.The technical concept focuses on high light quality, deep colour saturation and high-frequency LED operation to create the most natural light image possible. During the redesign of the foyer, the historic structure wall was incorporated into the theme as a stylistic element. The animations abstractly reflect CI themes, but remain artistic in their execution and focus on the dialogue between analog and digital design elements. The priority was to ensure a high quality of ambience for the room itself, even when encountering the light wall at close range.
